There Is Hope

OUR PROBLEM - SIN

The Bible is clear that all men and women are sinners.

Romans 3:11 - There is none righteous, not even one; There is none who understands, There is none who seeks for God;

Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

THE CONSEQUENCE - DEATH

The Bible also teaches that all who sin deserve death and God's judgment.

Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Hebrews 9:27 - And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment.

GOD’S SOLUTION - JESUS CHRIST

But Jesus died on the cross in our place as the only hope to save sinners from this destiny.

Romans 5:8 - But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

2 Cor. 5:21 - He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

OUR RESPONSE - FAITH AND REPENTANCE

The Bible even tells us how a sinner can access this hope and be saved from judgment and wrath.

Romans 10:13 - for "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved."

John 1:12 - But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name.

TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION

Surrender to Jesus as Lord today! Confess that you are a sinner who needs His forgiveness. Repent and turn away from your sin. Place your trust in His mercy as your only hope for eternal life and salvation from His wrath!

2 Cor. 6:2 - for He says, "At the acceptable time I listened to you, And on the day of salvation I helped you." Behold, now is "the acceptable time," behold, now is "the day of salvation.”

THE RESULT - NEW LIFE IN CHRIST

Those who accept this calling of the Lord are adopted into His family and become part of the body of Christ (His Church.) There they become strengthened through His word, discipleship, and fellowship with their adopted brothers and sisters.

Ephesians 1:5 - “He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will,”

Acts 2:41-42 - “So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls. They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”
